3. a woman who exhibits the skills attributed to such
“Cowgirl is an attitude, really. A pioneer spirit, a special American brand of courage. The cowgirl faces life head on, lives by her own rights, and makes no excuses. Cowgirls take stands. They speak up. They defend the things they hold dear. A cowgirl might be a rancher, or a barrel racer, or a bull rider, or an actress. But she’s just as likely to be a checker at the local super market, a full-time mother, a banker, an attorney, or an astronaut.” - Dale Evans Rogers
mall - [mawl]
1. large complex containing a variety of stores and other business establishments in a single location
Why CowgirlMall.com?
As you saw in the video, it was my trip to the 2009 NFR in Las Vegas when my girlfriend introduced me to a vendor that had the most amazing hand made tack! Since I am a bling freak and tend to spoil that special horse in my life, (Cookie) I ended up purchasing a matching headstall and breastcollar. When talking with this vendor I realized that had I not been to the NFR, our paths would most likely have never crossed!
My second inspiration came from a friend of mine who ran a western boutique and traveled across the country. The few times I tagged along, it was evident to me that all of the vendors are spending their time, money and focus on their next gig and how to make their next buck. It's a tough economy right now and business is competitive.
Most of these vendors had websites with the sense of "if you build it they will come". I would say 90% of vendors I met had sites, were glad they had one, but not sure it's making them money. How can they drive traffic to their site and generate business?
You must be number one on google!
That statement drives me nuts because it's NOT TRUE!
Lets talk for a second here on what it takes to be number one on google. Here's the process in a nutshell: You purchase "key words" from google for $xx amount. You are charged $XX amount for every person that clicks on your ad based on the words you purchased. Think about it, what products do you sell in your store? How many stores and boutiques are also selling that product? Not to mention you also have to compete with the sites that register "organicly" because they are constantly changing their site, making fresh content for search engines. Being and staying number one on google is a daily task.
Lets use cowboy hats as an example. Many of you offer cowboy hats in your store and on-line. You will want to purchase the keyword "cowboy hat". That generic phrase is now very valuable to google because all of the vendors selling cowboy hats want it. Do you and can you compete with Stetson, Shelplers, Hat Country, Cowboy Hat Store, Cavenders, Resistol or WesternHats.com, because those are the companies who showed up in my search today, November 17, 2010.
The thing is, you do need to be noticed online and that's what CowgirlMall.com is for. We will get your target audience and send them to you. Which do you think will create more business for your company, a click from an ad on google or a click from a fan of CowgirlMall.com?
